3.5. Processing of data
(a) The data controller
The personal data which are collected are recorded in the address file of the APB Port Center (Scheldelaan 444, 2040 Antwerp and company number 0443 423 820) and the customer database of the group province of Antwerp.
(b) Purposes for processing
The APB Port Center collects your personal data for various purposes. These purposes may be: to conduct correspondence, to provide information by means of newsletters or when you fill in a contact or application form on our website or send us an e-mail, your data will be used to answer or process your question. This data will not be used for other purposes. The legal basis for processing your personal data (consent of the data subject, necessary for the performance of a contract, necessary to comply with a legal obligation, necessary for the performance of a task of general interest) depends on the intended purposes.
3.6. Profiling for marketing purposes
Profiling can be defined as any form of automated processing of personal data. These data are used to evaluate certain personal aspects relating to the individual, in particular to analyse or predict elements relating to his/her personal preferences and interests.
It is possible that the APB Port Center and the Group Province of Antwerp process your personal data for profiling purposes and for making decisions based on a profile, including analysing the data and compiling statistics, models and profiles, and this for the purposes mentioned in 3.5.
As far as possible, the APB Port Center and the group Province of Antwerp only use anonymous or pseudonomised data for profiling.
3.7. Collection of data on the use behaviour of the website
In addition to the use of cookies, the APB Port Center and the Province of Antwerp also record data when the website is visited and used. This information is anonymised to the best of our ability and is only collected for statistical purposes and in order to be able to continue improving the website. In some cases, data may or may not be obtained from a third party.
This data may include but are not limited to: the visitor's IP address and the date and time on which a page is requested, searches carried out and whether or not they yielded a correct result, number of times a file was downloaded, etc.
For the collection of this data, APB Port Center and the Province of Antwerp make use of both standard user logbooks of the website and systems of third parties, including: Google Analytics, SiteImprove and Hotjar.
3.8. Storage period of the data
The APB Port Center and the Province of Antwerp will not store your data longer than necessary. The APB Port Center and the Province of Antwerp store your data as long as they can effectively serve you in accordance with this privacy policy. After that your data will be deleted.
3.9. Transfer to third parties
The APB Port Center considers your data as confidential information. The APB Port Center will not sell or rent your data to companies or persons that are not part of the group province of Antwerp.
For the processing of data, the APB Port Center calls upon an external contractor, for example, for the processing of your reservation, sending e-mails, the forms via the website, the programme behind the newsletters, etc. This means, among other things, that we temporarily pass on data to third parties for certain tasks.
