"The active Port" shows the port in full action. You will visit different companies in the port area and discover how among others coffee, bananas and steel reach their destination.Different items will be treated such as cargo handling, port infrastructure, employment, economical importance and natural values.

Adapting to the profile of our young visitors and taking your wishes into account, we can diversify the tour by focussing on alimentary, technical or logistic subjects.

Practical data

• Cost: 6 euro per pupil, minimum 150 euro per group, covering the guide and visits to the companies (teachers free). Transport by coach and eventual tunnel toll not included.
• Departure and arrival: Port Centre, Scheldelaan 444 - Haven 621, 2040 Antwerpen

• Lunch accommodation available in the Port Centre - bring your own lunch - sandwiches possible on request
• Guides: in one of the four languages Dutch, French, English or German.
